A kitchen can look tidy while still needing detailed work inside the oven, along cabinet edges or around frequently used surfaces. When arranging deep cleaning, naming those areas helps the team plan the work and gives you a clear understanding of the quote.
AD Spotless’s deep cleaning service in Calgary covers the agreed rooms and detailed tasks. This guide focuses on the kitchen: what to discuss, what to clear beforehand, and how to distinguish cleaning from a repair issue.

Make an appliance list before requesting the quote
“Kitchen cleaning” can mean different things to different people. You might be thinking about counters and cabinet fronts, while another homeowner needs the refrigerator and oven interiors cleaned too. Give us an appliance list and explain which interiors need attention.
Useful details include whether you have a built-in oven, a freestanding range, more than one oven, or an additional kitchen. Tell us about heavy grease, food residue and any areas you have already treated. A second appliance or cooking space should be included in the discussion rather than assumed to be part of the same task.
The two oven styles shown in this article illustrate why it is useful to describe your appliances when arranging the work.
Discuss the oven in specific parts
For an oven, confirm attention to the accessible interior, racks, inner door glass and exterior surfaces as appropriate for the appliance. Point out marks or damage you already know about, and mention any relevant manufacturer care instructions.
Leave the oven off and cool before the appointment and remove food and cookware. Do not assume the service includes dismantling the door, separating panes of glass, repairing a seal or working on electrical components. Ask about the area that concerns you so the work can be assessed and quoted accurately.
Cleaning aims to remove residue and buildup. It cannot make scratched glass, damaged coatings or worn components new again.

Distinguish cabinet fronts from cabinet interiors
If inside-cabinet cleaning is included, empty those cabinets and drawers before the team arrives. Remove dishes, food and personal belongings from the spaces being cleaned. This gives the cleaners access to the agreed surfaces and avoids spending appointment time working around stored items.
You may want all interiors cleaned, or only selected cupboards. Make that clear when requesting your quote. Also identify delicate finishes, peeling surfaces or loose fittings, especially where you have noticed an existing problem.
Clear counters and plan appliance access
Put away loose papers, dishes and small personal items. Identify any countertop appliance that needs attention and explain whether you mean its exterior or an accessible interior. Clear the route into the kitchen so the team can reach the work areas.
If cleaning behind the fridge or oven is one of your priorities, mention it in advance so access and the appliance setup can be checked. Do not disconnect or move a heavy appliance just to prepare for the visit. The appropriate arrangement should be confirmed for the actual installation.
Our home-cleaning preparation guide covers the wider appointment arrangements.
Explain what needs the most attention
Two kitchens of similar size can need different amounts of work. Describe where buildup is concentrated and which areas matter most to you. For example, an oven interior may be the priority in one home; in another it may be cabinet interiors and accumulated residue around cooking surfaces.
Share the property’s total square footage, including the basement, when asking about a whole-home deep clean. Then highlight the kitchen priorities. The included work and price should be confirmed together before the visit; a kitchen photograph alone is not a complete scope.
If your visit also includes bathrooms, our bathroom deep-cleaning guide helps you identify buildup, delicate finishes and the areas needing attention.
How deep cleaning fits with other services
For an occupied home with accumulated buildup, a deep clean can provide a detailed first visit before ongoing maintenance. Our deep-versus-regular cleaning guide helps explain that choice.
If the property is changing occupants, ask about move-in and move-out cleaning so access and timing can be planned around the move. If you also want carpet deep steam cleaning, include it in the request. It is a separate service from routine floor vacuuming or mopping.
